Most science studies on nutrition turn an actively blind-eye to plant-based nutrition. I believe one reason for this is simply that the scientists and researchers conducting the studies are members of the meat-based diet society. It's just an unquestioned given, however, "discoveries" of the benefits of plant-based diets are trickling in.
