Can caffeine intake induce and exacerbate symptoms of migraine in children and adolescents? This study set out to provide answer to this question. Researchers reviewed the dietary and medical records of 40 Japanese children and adolescents. 

Researchers detected a strong connection between habitual consumption of caffeine and frequent occurrence of migraine in children and adolescents. This study highlighted that regular ingestion of caffeine may worsen migraine symptoms in children and adolescents.
