Clarence Ing, MD has been spreading the message of plant based healthy living across five of the seven continents. Dr. Ing, The Medical Director of Weimar Center of Health and Education's NEWSTART Lifestyle Program, also received a Master's Degree in Public Health from the Loma Linda University School of Public Health. His accomplishments extend to being a Diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology, a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a Diplomat of the American Board of Preventative Medicine, and a Fellow of the American College of Preventative Medicine.
It was Clarence Ing, MD who introduced Linda Carney to T. Colin Campbell Ph.D, John McDougall MD, Caldwell Esselstyn Jr. MD, Ann Esselstyn and Rip Esselstyn by inviting, and encouraging, her to attend the Annual Meeting of the American College of Preventive Medicine in 2008 which was held in Austin, Texas. They all had a dinner together at everybody's favorite Austin macrobiotic restaurant Casa de Luz which led Rip Esselstyn to ask Linda to consider becoming the Medical Director for his Engine 2 Immersions. Dr. Carney accepted Rip's invitation. The Carneys are forever grateful for the connections that Dr. Clarence Ing helped them to establish in the world of plant based nutrition.
Embedded is a video of Dr. Ing making presentations at a Seventh-day Adventist Church. His videos open with prayer. We are always happy to see plant-besed nutrition presented with a faith based approach as the community of faith also needs this health message.
