Cigarette smoking may increase a man's risk of suffering from hip fracture.
The aim of this study was to determine the correlation between cigarette smoking and the risk of hip fracture by meta-analysis. A total of 14 eligible studies were included in this meta-analysis. The team of researchers observed that men who were cigarette smokers, especially current smokers, had a higher tendency of suffering from hip fracture than that those who were never smokers. The results of this study show a man's chances of suffering from hip fracture may be boosted by cigarette smoking.
