Regular drinking of coffee may increase laryngeal cancer risk.
This research work investigated the role of tea and coffee consumption in the development of laryngeal cancer. Researchers conducted a thorough meta-analysis on data extracted from 10 studies that examined 506,037 subjects and 2,803 cases of laryngeal cancer.
Researchers observed a high incidence of laryngeal cancer among frequent consumers of coffee. On the other hand, high intake of tea was found to have little or no significant effect on laryngeal cancer risk in this study. The findings of this meta-analysis reveal that generous consumption of coffee may contribute positively to the development of cancerous cells in the larynx.</p
