This study examined if an association exists between embracing a sedentary lifestyle and the likelihood of developing colorectal cancer using a meta-analytic approach. Data from 23 studies were utilized for this meta-analysis.
Researchers identified an upward trend in the incidence of colorectal cancer among participants who were physically inactive. This study offered additional insights into the role sedentary behaviors play in promoting the development of cancerous cells and tumors in the colon and rectum.
