This study looked at the link between fondness for foods rich in polyphenols and an individual's odds of developing colorectal cancer. Researchers collated and analyzed data on the diet and incidence of colorectal cancer among 71,599 US men and women.
Researchers noted that higher intake of polyphenol-containing foods correlated with lesser risk of colorectal cancer. The results of this study show that regular ingestion of foods high in polyphenols may reduce an individual's susceptibility to colorectal cancer.
