Regular consumption of high fiber diets may decrease an individual’s susceptibility to pancreatic cancer.
The objective of this study was to evaluate the relationship between high ingestion of dietary fiber and the risk of pancreatic carcinoma by meta-analysis. Data extracted from 14 published studies were analyzed in this meta-analysis. Researchers found out that increased consumption of diets characterized by high fiber content lowered pancreatic cancer development risk. The findings of this meta-analysis reveal that generous intake of fiber-rich diets may reduce an individual’s chances of developing pancreatic cancer.
