The Association between Dietary Inflammatory Potential and Urologic Cancers: A Meta-analysis

Fans of proinflammatory diets are liable to come down with some urological cancers, particularly kidney and prostate cancer.

This meta-analysis summarized the results of 23 studies that explored the association between frequent ingestion of high inflammatory diets and the tendency to acquire some urological cancers. More than half a million individuals volunteered for these studies.

Researchers observed that the odds of developing some urological cancers, including prostate and kidney cancer, were stacked against consistent consumers of proinflammatory diets. This 2024 study documented that adopting a high inflammatory diet may make an individual highly likely to receive a diagnosis of kidney and prostate cancer.
