Frequent intake of alcohol correlates with high risk of melanoma.
The purpose of this study was to undertake a meta-analysis of studies that assessed the role of alcohol consumption in the development of melanoma. Researchers looked at data obtained from 20 studies involving more than 10,000 cases of melanoma.
Researchers discovered that alcohol drinking boosted the odds of having melanoma. The findings of this study show that individuals can increase their risk of developing melanoma by consuming alcohol regularly.
