This study examined the association between alcohol consumption and the risk of breast cancer. Researchers followed 69,000 women for 5 years, monitoring their alcohol intake levels and health.Researchers discovered that habitual consumers of alcohol faced increased risk of developing breast cancer. The positive association between alcohol drinking and breast cancer was found to be stronger among Caucasians and postmenopausal women. The data from this study reveal that frequent intake of alcohol may trigger the occurrence of breast cancer in women.
