This study determined whether there is a tie between the consumption of alcoholic beverages, including beer, wine, and liquor, during adolescence and adulthood and the occurrence of cancer of the testes. Researchers studied the alcohol-drinking habits and medical records of over 1,800 US men aged 18-44 years.
Researchers found out that avid consumers of alcohol faced increased risk of coming down with testicular cancer. This study demonstrates that habitual drinking of alcohol during adolescent and adult life may promote the development of cancer of the testes.
