Alcohol drinking may elevate prostate cancer mortality risk.
This research work studied the effect of alcohol intake on mortality risk in patients with prostate cancer. Researchers monitored the alcohol consumption rates and mortality records in a study population comprising of 829 Canadian men with prostate cancer.
Researchers found a 2-fold increase in the odds of dying from prostate cancer among alcohol consumers. The findings of this study reveal that prostate cancer patients who are alcohol drinkers may have a high tendency to die from the disease.
