Habitual intake of alcohol may be tied to higher risk of erectile dysfunction.
This study analyzed the association between alcohol consumption and the occurrence of erectile dysfunction. Researchers used data obtained from 816 sexually active Chinese men between the ages of 31 and 60 years who participated in face-to-face interviews.
Researchers discovered that erectile dysfunction was more likely to occur in men who consumed 3 or more standard drinks per week than in their colleagues who refrained from taking alcoholic beverages. This study demonstrates that fondness for alcohol may be a risk factor for erectile dysfunction.
