This study examined the influence alcohol drinking exerts on the occurrence of gout. Researchers conducted a meticulous meta-analysis on data drawn from a pool of 15 scientific publications.
Majority of the studies reviewed for this meta-analysis agreed that regular drinking of alcoholic beverages, particularly beer and spirit, promoted the development of gout. This study offered additional insight into the contribution of alcohol consumption in the development of gout.
