This study looked at the connection between the frequency of egg consumption and the prevalence of diabetes among Chinese men and women. Dietary habits and diabetes incidence rates were ascertained through validated food frequency questionnaires and hospital records.
Researchers noticed that avid consumers of eggs experienced a significant jump in diabetes risk. This study supports the hypothesis that high dietary ingestion of eggs may predispose an individual to diabetes.
