Indulgence in animal foods, such meat and fish, may favor the development of endometrial cancer.
This study assessed the risk of endometrial cancer based on the level of consumption of animal foods. Researchers followed and evaluated the dietary habits of 1,212 healthy Chinese women and 1,204 endometrial cancer patients.
Researchers noticed that the risk of endometrial cancer rose with increased ingestion of animal foods, including all types of meat and fish. This 2006 study of Chinese women documented a positive association between fondness for animal foods and the development of endometrial cancer.
