Physical activity and the risk of heart failure: a systematic review and dose-response meta-analysis of prospective studies

Cultivating the habit of partaking in physical activity, such as walking and bicycling, regularly may confer an individual with significant protection against heart failure.

​This study attempted to unravel the physical activity-heart failure connection puzzle. Researchers sifted through data culled from 29 studies. 

Researchers observed an appreciable decline in heart failure risk among participants who consistently engaged in physical activity, such as walking and bicycling. This study pointed out that adopting a physically active lifestyle may make an individual less likely to have heart failure.
