Following a high-fat diet may increase an individual's susceptibility to non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
The purpose of this meta-analysis was to evaluate data from previously published studies that looked at the association between habitual consumption of fatty foods and the propensity to acquire non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL). A total of 10 studies were considered for this meta-analysis.
Researchers discovered that a surge in the risk of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma was associated with regular ingestion of fatty foods, especially fats from animal sources. Evidence from this study indicate that lovers of fatty foods may be highly vulnerable to suffer from non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
