Frequent ingestion of high fiber foods may help protect an individual against heart failure.
This research work studied the correlation between dietary fiber intake and the incidence of heart failure in a study population comprising of 21,869 adults. Researchers followed all the study participants for an average of 9 years.
Researchers noted that devout consumption of fiber from food sources, particularly cereals, increased an individual's chances of preventing heart failure. This study came to the conclusion that creating more space for fiber-rich foods in our menu may stack the odds of fending off heart failure in our favor.
