This meta-analysis looked at the relationship between the intake of high fiber foods and the incidence of colorectal cancer in Asia. A total of 10 studies were included in this meta-analysis.
Researchers noted that the tendency of colorectal cancer to occur among adherents of high-fiber diets was low compared to their counterparts who ate little or none of these plant foods. The results of this study show that formulating and implementing policies that encourage the consumption of fiber-rich foods may play a significant role in reducing the incidence of colorectal cancer.
