This study investigated the link between consistent consumption of fruits and vegetables and the tendency to develop breast cancer. Researchers analyzed data from the Black Women's Health Study, which included information the types of foods the participants eat and whether they have been diagnosed with breast cancer.
Researchers discovered that a decline in the risk of breast cancer was associated with increase in the frequency of consumption of vegetables, such as carrots and cruciferous vegetables. The results of this study highlight the importance of high vegetable diets in the prevention of breast cancer.
