Compliance with a high vegetable diet may reduce a woman's predisposition to endometrial cancer.
This study assessed how eating large servings of vegetables regularly influences the risk of endometrial cancer. Dietary habits and incidence rates of endometrial cancer in a study population comprising of 1,082 women were obtained from validated food frequency questionnaires and hospital records.
Researchers found out that women at the top of the vegetable consumption ladder had better chances of avoiding endometrial cancer than their colleagues who rarely or never consumed these plant foods. The findings of this study reveal that women can significantly cut down their risk of endometrial cancer by consuming generous portions of vegetables.
