This study explored the impact of the consumption of refined and whole grains on the incidence of obesity-related cancer, such as breast cancer. Researchers reviewed the dietary and medical records of 3,184 adult men and women who were part of the Framingham Offspring Cohort.
Researchers observed that the frequent intake of whole grains slashed the risk of breast cancer. This study pointed out that fondness for whole grains may help curtail the development of breast cancer in women.
