Increased intake of cabbage and sauerkraut may help to ward off breast cancer in women.
This study evaluated the relationship between the frequency of consumption of cabbage and sauerkraut and the tendency of breast cancer occurring in women. Researchers matched cabbage and sauerkraut intake levels with the incidence of breast cancer in a study population comprising of over 400 Polish-born migrant women.
Researchers observed that high dietary ingestion of cabbage and sauerkraut markedly slashed the risk of breast cancer in women. The results of this study revealed that women who prefer eating cabbage and sauerkraut may enjoy significant protection against breast cancer.
