This meta-analysis examined the consumption of proinflammatory diets and its relationship with the development of cancer. Researchers studied the nutritional and health records of 1,082,092 men and women who participated in 44 studies.
Cancer rates were found to be elevated among participants on high inflammatory diets in this study. This meta-analysis pointed out that increased intake of proinflammatory foods may be one of the factors responsible for high incidence of cancer globally.
