Regular consumers of red and processed meats may be highly vulnerable to develop non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
This study evaluated the relationship between the consumption of red and processed meats and the likelihood of developing non-Hodgkin lymphoma by meta-analysis. A total of 11 studies were included in this meta-analysis.
Researchers observed that the chances of developing non-Hodgkin lymphoma were greater in subjects with high dietary intake of red and processed meats. Consistent consumption of red meat was strongly linked to the development of diffused large B-cell lymphoma in this study. The findings of this meta-analysis suggest that individuals on high-meat diets may have a high tendency to develop non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
