Preference for ultra-processed foods may favor the development of inflammatory bowel disease in men and women.
This study used a meta-analytic approach to investigate the ultra-processed food consumption-inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) connection theory. Researchers sifted through data extracted from over 4 million men and women who took part in 24 studies.
