Adopting a dietary pattern that encourages the consumption of raw fruits and vegetables may help shield a woman from thyroid cancer.
This study explored the impact of diets rich in raw fruits and vegetables on thyroid cancer incidence in South Korean women. Researchers collated and analyzed data on the diet and thyroid cancer diagnosis status of more than 400 women.
Researchers noticed that greater consumption of raw fruits and vegetables, such as persimmon and tangerine, brightened a woman's chances of keeping thyroid cancer at bay. This study provides material evidence that regular ingestion of raw fruits and vegetables may be beneficial for the prevention of thyroid cancer in women.
