Devout consumption of foods loaded with fiber may help curb the onset of colorectal adenoma.
This meta-analysis examined whether frequent eating of high fiber foods is tied to improved odds of preventing colorectal adenoma. Researchers reviewed data and evidence collated from 21 scientific publications.
Data analysis revealed that colorectal adenomas were less likely to occur among habitual consumers of fiber-rich foods. This study demonstrates that increased intake of fiber-containing foods may inhibit the development of adenoma in the colon and rectum.
