This study looked at the impact of avid consumption of ultra-processed foods on mortality risk. Researchers monitored the dietary habits and mortality records in a study population comprising of more than 38,000 US men and women.
Researchers found a high death toll among consumers of ultra-processed foods. The results of this study showed that fondness for ultra-processed foods may increase an individual's likelihood of suffering from untimely death.
