Men who want to minimize their prostate cancer risk should add more soy foods to their diets.
This meta-analysis examined whether an association exists between regular consumption of soy foods and prostate cancer development risk. Researchers evaluated data and evidence extracted from 24 studies that examined the link between the intake of soy foods and the likelihood of having prostate cancer.
Researchers observed that the probability of developing prostate cancer was low in men who were regular consumers of soy foods. Data from this study indicate that a high soy diet may contribute positively to the prevention of prostate cancer.
