This study evaluated the association between regular dietary exposure to phytoestrogens and the likelihood of developing thyroid cancer. The study population included 793 healthy individuals and 817 patients with thyroid cancer who completed dietary questionnaires.
Researchers noticed that avid consumption of foods packed with phytoestrogens, such as alfafa sprouts and soy foods, significantly diminished thyroid cancer risk. This study highlights the beneficial role of phytoestrogen-containing foods in the prevention of thyroid cancer.
