Thank you for this explanation.  I don't drink caffeine, extremely little alcohol, a little 70%+ chocolate and an all fiber, unprocessed diet.  My BMI is 20.2.  

My OBGYN recommended Uterine Fibroid Embolization.  I did an MRI to see if I was a candidate.  I decided against the procedure since my only symptom is the existence of the fibroid (pushes my uterus out) since I have no pain, pressure or bleeding. I thought that wasn't reason enough to subject myself to a medical procedure which always entails risk.  

The ultimate question is:  Can a fibroid the size of a grapefruit shrink meaningfully even on a perfect diet?  And is there anything in writing that specifically addresses this that I could study in case there are tweaks I can make other than not eating after 2:00 p.m.?

Thank you for your reply. I was particularly interested in how high fat foods contribute to estrogen generation. I eat a very low fat, no oil WFPB diet. I assume that's why I had very few symptoms of menopause. I have no symptoms from the fibroid other than it pushes my uterus out. But I don't suffer from pain, bleeding or pressure. I was just hoping that the fibroid would shrink since it's not being fed estrogen from either medication or diet but I'm not confident it will shrink.
