Data from 6 studies covering more than 2 million subjects were included in this meta-analysis.
Researchers found out that regular users of statin drugs were highly vulnerable to acquiring herpes zoster infection. This meta-analysis highlights the role statins play in increasing an individual's susceptibility to herpes zoster infection.
