A Proinflammatory Diet Is Associated with Higher Risk of Peripheral Artery Disease

Individuals on pro-inflammatory diets may be at risk of suffering from peripheral arterial disease (PAD).

This research work investigated the correlation between eating a pro-inflammatory diet and the tendency to develop peripheral arterial disease (PAD). Researchers studied nutritional and health data obtained from 5,840 men and women. 

Researchers observed that the odds of having peripheral arterial disease were stacked against frequent consumers of pro-inflammatory diets. This study highlights the role pro-inflammatory diets play in the development of peripheral arterial disease.
