This study assessed the bone mineral density of vegetarians. Researchers reviewed relevant data and evidence drawn out from previously published studies.
Researchers found normal bone mass and strong bones among vegetarians. Contrary to popular belief, this study provides strong evidence that vegetarian diet may be beneficial for bone health.
