Fruits and dietary phytochemicals in bone protection

Creating more space for fruits and other phytochemical-rich foods in our menu may help to protect and strengthen our bones.

This study looked at the impact of dietary intake of fruits and other phytochemical-containing foods on bone health. Researchers utilized data obtained from eligible human and animal studies.

Researchers discovered that optimal consumption of fruits and other phytochemical-rich foods was associated with increase in bone mass and strength. This study shed more light on the positive effect of foods high in phytochemicals, such as fruits, on bone health.
