Cigarette smoking and liver cancer risk: an evaluation based on a systematic review of epidemiologic evidence among the Japanese population.
Cigarette smoking may elevate liver cancer risk.
This study examined the effect of cigarette smoking on liver cancer risk in Japanese men and women. Researchers conducted a meticulous meta-analysis on data and evidence obtained from 23 published studies. They found a high incidence of liver cancer among cigarette smokers. The findings of this meta-analysis show that cigarette smoking may increase the likelihood of developing liver cancer.
