Association between dietary caffeine intake and severe headache or migraine in US adults
Generous intake of caffeine may facilitate the development of severe headache and migraine in men and women.
This study examined whether an association exists between regular drinking of caffeine-containing beverages and the development of headache and migraine. A total of 8993 US men and women took part in this study, volunteered information about their caffeine consumption habits, and frequency and intensity of headaches and migraine attacks.
Researchers observed that the greater the amounts of caffeine participants consumed, the worse the severity of headaches and migraines they experienced. The findings of this study revealed that high dietary ingestion of caffeine may trigger the onset of severe headache and migraine in men and women.
