Dietary acrylamide intake and the risk of lymphatic malignancies: the Netherlands Cohort Study on diet and cancer.
Men who indulge in foods rich in acrylamide may have high risk of developing cancer of the lymphatic system, such as multiple myeloma and follicular lymphoma.
This study explored the relationship between dietary intake of acrylamide and the risk of acquiring cancer of the lymphatic system, such as follicular lymphoma and multiple myeloma. Researchers tracked the diets and incidence of lymphatic malignancies among 120,852 men and women for 16.3 years.
Researchers observed that increased consumption of foods rich in acrylamide increase the risk of developing cancer of lymphatic malignancies, such as multiple myeloma and follicular lymphoma, in men. Data from this study indicate that high dietary ingestion of acrylamide may promote the development of cancerous cells and tumors in the lymphatic system of men.
