Is alcohol consumption a risk factor for prostate cancer? A systematic review and meta-analysis.
A surge in prostate cancer risk is associated with low, moderate, and heavy consumption of alcohol.
The objective of this meta-analysis was to evaluate the impact of alcohol consumption on the incidence of prostate cancer. Researchers conducted a meticulous meta-analysis on data extracted from 27 studies.
Researchers discovered that low, moderate, and heavy consumers of alcohol had high chances of being diagnosed with prostate cancer. Data from this meta-analysis suggest that regular drinking of alcohol can trigger the development of prostate cancer.
