Is Alcohol Intake Associated With Low Back Pain? A Systematic Review of Observational Studies

People with drinking disorder (alcohol dependence) may be highly vulnerable to suffering from pain in the lower back.

This study investigated the connection between alcohol consumption and the occurrence of lower back pain. Researchers analyzed data extracted from 26 relevant studies. 

Researchers discovered that individuals with drinking disorder (alcohol dependence) had high tendency to suffer from complex and chronic lower back pain. Evidence from this study indicate alcohol dependence may put an individual on the path to suffering from lower back pain.
