The effect of fruit and vegetable intake on the development of lung cancer: a meta-analysis of 32 publications and 20,414 cases.
Generous consumption of fruits and vegetables may help to curb the onset of lung cancer.
This study assessed the relationship between the intake of fruits and vegetables and the onset of lung cancer. Researchers conducted a meticulous meta-analysis on data extracted from 38 studies that examined more than 20,000 patients with lung cancer.
Researchers found out that indulgence in fruits and vegetables significantly reduced the risk of lung cancer. This protective effect of fruits and vegetables was observed to be stronger in females. This study presents material evidence that larger intake of fruits and vegetables may help halt the development of lung cancer.
