Endothelial dysfunction may be a good indicator of the presence of various diseases, such as diabetes, stroke, cancer, and atherosclerosis.
This research work evaluated the relationship between the vascular endothelium and the development of several human diseases. Researchers reviewed evidences and data obtained from several published literatures on the subject. They discovered that endothelial dysfunction is linked with different types of diseases, such as diabetes, atherosclerosis, stroke, cancer, chronic kidney failure, and peripheral vascular diseases. The findings of this review show that normal endothelial function may be a vital for the maintenance of sound health.
