Cannabis as a risk factor for psychosis: systematic review.

Cannabis use can trigger the onset of psychosis.

​The aim of this meta-analysis was to review data from studies that examined the association between the use of cannabis and the risk of psychosis. Researchers compiled data obtained from 7 studies. 

Researchers discovered that regular exposure to cannabis elevated the likelihood of suffering from psychosis. The findings of this study reveal that cannabis users may have a high disposition to developing psychosis.
