This study ascertained cannabis usage and its relationship with the occurrence of head and neck cancer. Researchers reviewed 20 years worth of lifestyle and health data extracted from 64 healthcare organizations in the United States.
Researchers observed a trend of increasing risk of head and neck cancer, including oral (mouth), laryngeal, and oropharyngeal cancer, among cannabis users. The results of this study highlighted the connection between cannabis use and the development of cancer in the head and neck region.
