Coffee consumption and risk of gastric cancer: an updated meta-analysis.
Frequent consumers of coffee may be at risk of developing stomach cancer.
This study reviewed scientific literature that analyzed the association between the intake of coffee and the likelihood of developing gastric (stomach) cancer. Researchers systematically assessed data from 22 studies that examined coffee drinking as a risk factor for stomach cancer.
Researchers discovered that coffee drinkers were more likely to come down with gastric cancer than non-consumers of these beverages. This study support the notion that coffee drinking may promote the development, growth, and spread of cancerous cells in the stomach.Research Summary Information
