Mushroom intake and risk of epithelial ovarian cancer in southern Chinese women

Consistent consumption of mushrooms may help to fend off ovarian cancer.

This study was carried out to confirm the protective effects of mushrooms against ovarian cancer. The study population included 500 ovarian cancer patients and 500 cancer-free Chinese women.

Researchers discovered that women who consumed the most amounts of mushrooms had the lowest risk of ovarian cancer. This study concluded that high dietary ingestion of mushrooms may be beneficial for ovarian cancer prevention.
