Beef intake and risk of rheumatoid arthritis: Insights from a cross-sectional study and two-sample Mendelian randomization
Consuming ample amounts of beef regularly may set the stage for the occurrence of rheumatoid arthritis in men and women.
This research work investigated the risk of rheumatoid arthritis associated with the ingestion of beef. Researchers studied dietary and health data supplied by more than 9,000 men and women who took part in the 1999-2016 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES).
Researchers noted that high consumption of beef is tied to greater risk of rheumatoid arthritis. This study pointed out that generous intake of beef may lead to the development of rheumatoid arthritis in men and women.
